Read&Write for Google

Read & Write for Google is a Chrome Toolbar that provides reading, writing and study skills tools across web environments (Google Docs, Slides, web pages)
  • Read & Write is accessed via a Chrome Extension installed by CCSD Information Systems to all staff and students. 
  • Sign in to the Chrome Browser and turn on sync to access this tool.

  • Read & Write Thinglink
  • Texthelp Learning Academy for Read&Write

  • Use Text-to-Speech across web environments for read-aloud support. 
  • Students can use TTS to proofread their work.
  • Use Word Prediction, Voice Notes and Voice typing (STT) for writing support.
  • Use the Dictionary and picture dictionary for vocabulary development.
  • Use highlighters to determine importance, collect them to compile source documents or build vocabulary lists.
