​OrbitNote is the PDF companion tool for Google Read&Write. It combines accessibility, annotation features, and basic math and science tools within a PDF. It is accessed via a Chrome Extension installed by CCSD Information Systems to all staff and students. Sign in to the Chrome Browser and turn on sync to access this tool.

​CCSD has purchased a district-wide license for OrbitNote.


​Here are a few support resources from OrbitNote:
  • Post assignments in Schoology or Google Classroom with Orbitnote as the default PDF tool, and students can complete and submit their assignments.
  • Students can use multiple annotation features, including accessibility tools like TTS, word prediction, voice typing, and voice notes.
Academic assistive technology tools will remain consistent for CCSD students transitioning between buildings or moving to new feeder areas, ensuring alignment.
